Wahsega was a good time - we had 2 days of great weather - good for those outdoor learning activities. Some cold nights - glad I bought a sleeping bag that is good for arctic temperatures! We did a little bit of everything - history, ecology, astronomy, and more.

Favorite activity? Stream ecology - we waded in the creek and dug up little critters to evaluate the health of the habitat. We found all kinds of good stuff - I personally found a couple crawdads, some mayfly larvae, and a stone fly in a weird pupae/larval stage. Brianna was in hot pursuit in the critter-finding competition (I'm sure I won, even if she did find a fish). Pioneer Life was pretty groovy, too - we panned for gold (and even found a little - not enough to pay for college, though), made hand-dipped candles, and even ate corn-bread cooked over an open flame! Forest Ecology would been great if it hadn't rained so much.

Best moment? Walking around the pond in the warm sun and finding dozens of salamanders hanging out and soaking up the warmth.

Second favorite? Watching the kids pull KP - Cleaner? $5. Mop? $15. Watching students mop the floor in unison? PRICELESS!

So here's to the Bob-Cats - best learning group on the trip - you guys rock! And here's to the girls of cabin 12 - we toughed it out in our unheated cabin - and your hair still looked great! And to all the ECMS AC Crew - woohoo!

My best moment was when I ate that Cornbread. Mmmm...

My worst moment was when my cabin members threw shoes in my shower and pulled open the curtain. Obviously, my beauty blinded them, but it was still embarrasing.

I had two favorite activities. The first was stream ecology, I caught 4 or 5 different types of animals. I also enjoyed Pioneer Life, making candles and using the two person saw were both great activities. I would do that trip again any time

Who'll stop the rain... anyway, I liked all the classes you did, Mrs. Q.
What I didn't like was the rain. I learned quite a bit in all those classes, though.

I learned some cool stuff, too - I'm not an ecology specialist, and I don't know a lot about plants, so those classes were really interesting for me. I would've really liked Forest Ecology if we had had a better day weather-wise.

It's fun for me as a teacher to see how others run their classes and do activities - it gives me good ideas.

Ok ok...so the bobcats were PRETTY COOL

OMG WOOOHOOO HAHA CABIN 12!!
yeah it was COLD in it, but i have to say it really was the best cabin, it really was. All of us pretty much got along and we actually had alot of fun in our cold, little, no bathroomed cabin =D
Aww i love that cabiN! It was fun walking back and forth to the bathhouse! I mean, yah we were wet and cold, but it was fun.Ha.Anyway, my favorite part of the trip was just hanging out and stuff like that. The only bad thing was that my Group leader was really annoying, and that it rained on the last day =l
ack i had to change my clothes, they were SOAKING wet...stupid recylcing <----i spelled it wrong! i mean i like it, but i dont like the fact that we had to walk for like 30 minutes in the rain...:(

well idc anyways! i thought that the trip was fun!
